Trainee Bus Driver – Full Training & Competitive Pay

About the role

Join Arriva’s Runcorn depot as a Trainee Bus Driver and start a rewarding career in public transport. You will receive full paid training, earn a PCV licence, and begin driving passengers across the North West England region.

Key responsibilities

• Operate buses safely on scheduled routes, adhering to timetables and traffic regulations.
• Provide courteous, helpful service to passengers, assisting with queries and boarding.
• Conduct pre‑journey safety checks and report any vehicle issues.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and incident reports.
• Follow company policies on health, safety, and customer conduct.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of age with at least 12 months of driving experience.
• Valid UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Valid PCV (Passenger Carrying Vehicle) licence (obtained through training).
• Basic knowledge of road safety and vehicle operation.
