Trainee Bus Driver – Full Training

About the role

Join Arriva as a Trainee Bus Driver and receive full, paid training to become a qualified driver on London’s busy network. You will learn the fundamentals of bus operation, safety procedures, and customer service while working towards a permanent driving position.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a bus on assigned routes, adhering to timetables and traffic regulations.
• Ensure passenger safety and comfort throughout each journey.
• Provide courteous and helpful customer service to all riders.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑journey safety checks on the vehicle.
• Follow company policies, including health, safety, and drug‑free standards.

Required profile

• Minimum age of 18.
• Valid UK driving licence held for at least 6 months with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Friendly attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Willingness to work weekends and flexible shift patterns.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
