Trainee Calibration Engineer

About the role

Join a fast‑growing provider of calibration, testing and inspection services as a Trainee Calibration Engineer. You will work from the Bridport facility and travel across the UK supporting aerospace, pharmaceutical, healthcare and engineering customers.

Key responsibilities

• Calibrate, test and repair precision equipment used in regulated industries.
• Carry out laboratory‑based calibration work and on‑site visits to customer locations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet UKAS accreditation standards.
• Use company‑provided digital tools to log jobs, generate reports and communicate with clients.
• Complete a structured 12‑month training programme and pass all assessment milestones.
• Assist wider engineering and operational activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year experience in an electrical, mechanical, engineering, maintenance or technical role.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively, including occasional overnight stays.
• Strong attention to detail, good organisational and communication abilities.
• Right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Calibration of precision equipment.
• Testing and repair of mechanical/electrical devices.
• Use of digital job‑management systems.
• Understanding of UKAS accreditation requirements.
