Trainee Dental Nurse – Full‑Time/Part‑Time

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Trainee Dental Nurse to join our busy Eastbourne practice. This permanent position offers full‑time or part‑time hours and provides hands‑on experience across a wide range of dental specialties in a modern, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare surgery rooms and equipment before each patient appointment.
• Provide chair‑side assistance to dentists, hygienists and therapists during treatments.
• Clean, sterilise and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
• Follow strict cross‑infection control and health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Support patients throughout their visit and ensure a comfortable experience.
• Maintain accurate patient records and carry out general administrative duties.
• Assist with the smooth day‑to‑day running of the practice.

Required profile

• Enrolled on, or planning to enrol on, the NEBDN Diploma in Dental Nursing (proof required).
• Eligible to work in the UK and possess a National Insurance number.
• Vaccinated against Hepatitis B.
• Strong interest in dental care and patient wellbeing.

Required skills

• Infection control and cross‑infection procedures.
• Sterilisation of dental instruments.
• Patient record management.
