Trainee Dispenser – Pharmacy Assistant (London)

About the role

Join a busy retail pharmacy team as a Trainee Dispenser and support pharmacists in delivering safe, efficient healthcare services. You will receive full NVQ2 training, develop patient‑facing skills, and gain hands‑on experience dispensing prescriptions and advising customers on medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 training programme.
• Dispense prescriptions, label medicines, and manage ordering and collection of prescriptions.
• Assist other healthcare professionals in delivering pharmacy services.
• Provide advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the pharmacist when needed.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to ensure legal and safe dispensing.
• Stay up‑to‑date with store innovations and operational processes.
• Support patients with repeat prescriptions and medication adherence.

Required profile

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work (no visa sponsorship).
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus but not mandatory.
