Trainee Early Years Tutor (Remote with Newcastle travel)

About the role

Shaping Lives is looking for passionate Early Years professionals to join our graduate training programme as a Trainee Tutor. You will work remotely while travelling to Newcastle for learner observations, team meetings and one‑to‑ones, helping apprentices progress from enrolment to qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Support Early Years apprentices throughout their learning journey.
• Deliver engaging teaching using digital tools and workplace‑based activities.
• Coach and motivate learners to achieve their qualifications.
• Plan tailored learning experiences and provide constructive feedback.
• Conduct regular progress reviews with learners and employers.
• Observe learners in their workplace and prepare them for End Point Assessment.

Required profile

• Current or recent experience in Early Years settings, preferably at senior or supervisory level.
• Level 3 or higher qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
• Strong communication and motivational abilities.
• Desire to gain assessor and teaching qualifications.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to organise and manage a flexible diary.
• Passion for supporting and developing others.
