Trainee Electrical Fitter – High‑Voltage Training

About the role

Are you an electrician's mate, trainee electrician or similar, looking to start a career with a leading UK provider of high‑voltage infrastructure services? This field‑based trainee position offers structured progression, fully funded internal and external training and the chance to work on high‑voltage power applications across the North East.

Key responsibilities

• Fit a variety of switchgear, transformers and actuators for high‑voltage power applications.
• Work on‑site across a geographical patch from Sheffield to Newcastle, following a 5‑hour work week (Mon‑Thu 08:00‑16:00, Fri 08:00‑15:30).

Required profile

• Electrician's mate, trainee electrician or similar background.
• Motivation to progress a career in the high‑voltage power sector.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Installation of switchgear.
• Installation of transformers.
• Installation of actuators on high‑voltage systems.
