Trainee Electroplater – Aerospace MRO

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Electroplater to join a leading aerospace component MRO centre in Hayes. This full‑time position offers a 4‑days‑on/4‑days‑off shift pattern and a structured training programme to develop expertise in electroplating processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and clean components for electroplating.
• Operate electroplating equipment to deposit metal layers such as chromium, nickel or cadmium.
• Monitor and record process parameters to ensure quality and safety.
• Assist experienced electroplaters with precision workmanship and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a clean and compliant work environment.

Required profile

• Some experience in an engineering environment.
• Strong willingness to learn a specialised trade.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Availability to work shift patterns that include weekends.

Required skills

• Electroplating equipment operation.
• Basic chemistry knowledge.
