Trainee Field Service Engineer (Appliance Repair)

About the role
Start your career with Hotpoint as a Trainee Field Service Engineer. You’ll receive full training and work on‑site visiting customers’ homes to diagnose and repair household appliances.
Key responsibilities
- Travel to customer locations in a company‑provided van.
- Diagnose and repair appliances such as tumble dryers, electric cookers and washing machines.
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service.
- Manage tools, spare‑part inventory and vehicle.
- Promote Hotpoint products and services.
Required profile
- Full UK manual driving licence.
- Physically able to lift and move appliances.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn.
Required skills
- Appliance repair.
- Electrical diagnostics.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting.
What we offer
- Salary £27,377‑£28,352 per year (daily rate equivalent via umbrella company).
- Commission and overtime opportunities.
- Fully equipped company van and fuel card.
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after permanent appointment.
- Potential to progress to a permanent role within 12 months.
