Trainee Financial Planner – £42k Salary + Bonus – Hybrid, St Austell

About the role

Join a well‑established chartered independent financial planning firm as a Trainee Financial Planner. You will be supported to develop into a fully qualified adviser, managing an inherited client bank of approximately £40m AUM. The role offers full training, mentoring and a hybrid/flexible working model.

Key responsibilities

• Develop into a Chartered Financial Planner delivering holistic advice across pensions, investments, protection, estate and intergenerational wealth planning.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships, focusing on exceptional outcomes.
• Utilise the firm’s advanced technology and AI tools to enhance efficiency and client service.
• Collaborate with a dedicated administrator and paraplanning team to prepare recommendations and reports.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and study for chartered status.

Required profile

• Experience as a paraplanner with some client‑facing exposure, or a trainee adviser seeking progression.
• Strong commitment to developing a career in financial planning and achieving chartered qualifications.
• Ability to work autonomously while adhering to the firm’s compliance and quality standards.
• Motivation to deliver high‑quality, client‑focused advice.
