About the role
This is a full‑time, on‑site trainee position with a freight forwarding company in Basildon. You will receive hands‑on training to develop core logistics skills and support daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Learn to use the company’s operating system for booking shipments.
- Communicate with UK and overseas customers to provide shipping information.
- Prepare quotes for customers and arrange collections with third‑party hauliers.
- Assist the office and management team with routine administrative tasks.
Required profile
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook for email handling and attachments.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and internet research.
- Organised, able to multitask and pay strong attention to detail.
- Keen interest in learning various aspects of shipping and logistics.
