Trainee Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship (11 months)

About the role

This 11‑month, fully funded apprenticeship offers a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE) while you work in a welcoming primary school setting. You will earn a daily wage from day one and receive full mentoring from Engage Education.

Key responsibilities

• Support children individually and in small groups.
• Assist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy and play‑based learning activities.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and promote engagement.
• Support children’s social, emotional and developmental needs.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, resources and classroom activities.

Required profile

• Passionate about working with young children.
• GCSE Maths & English at grade C/4 or higher (preferred).
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check (support provided).
• Commitment to an 11‑month apprenticeship.

Required skills

• Basic numeracy and literacy support skills.
