Trainee Mechanical Contracts Manager

About the role
This position offers a hands‑on opportunity to support the delivery of mechanical services contracts for an M+E contractor in the South West. You will work closely with senior managers to oversee projects from the estimate stage through to final account settlement.
Key responsibilities
- Manage mechanical installation contracts, ensuring they stay within budget and schedule.
- Forecast spend and track costs using purchasing software and Excel spreadsheets.
- Prepare and review risk assessments, method statements, and health‑and‑safety documentation for on‑site and off‑site teams.
- Monitor project progress against contractual targets and report variances.
- Assist in the preparation of final accounts and contract close‑out documentation.
Required profile
- Previous experience on mechanical installation projects or hands‑on site work.
- Strong numeracy and literacy abilities.
- Possession of a CSCS card or NVQ Level 3 in a relevant discipline.

What we offer
- Salary between £40,000 and £45,000 per annum on a permanent contract.
