Trainee Mechanical Engineer

About the role

Kickstart your career in building services engineering with Dalkia Engineering. As a Trainee Mechanical Engineer you will work on clean‑energy, healthcare, life‑science and infrastructure projects while studying for a Level 4 HNC qualification. You will gain hands‑on experience in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support project planning and coordinate workloads with the Project Leadership team.
• Assist in delivering projects efficiently and profitably.
• Help develop project programmes and track key milestones.
• Manage procurement schedules to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Support tender processes, including understanding estimates and subcontract packages.
• Attend meetings with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Review technical designs, drawings and specifications.
• Develop knowledge of health & safety standards and compliance.
• Interpret technical specifications, standards and regulations.
