Trainee Mechanical Field Service Engineer

About the role

This is an entry‑level opportunity for a mechanically minded individual to start a career as a Field Service Engineer. You will receive full, hands‑on training on a wide range of industrial machinery while working alongside experienced engineers. The role involves travelling across the North West to service, maintain and repair mechanical equipment for a variety of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites across the North West and assist experienced engineers in servicing, repairing and maintaining a variety of industrial machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and corrective actions on mechanical equipment under supervision.
• Document service activities, complete service reports and communicate findings to senior engineers.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical aptitude or hands‑on engineering experience.
• Background in maintenance, production, assembly, automotive, plant, agricultural, military or similar environments.
• Full UK driving licence.
