Trainee Paraplanner – Financial Planning Support

About the role

We are partnering with a prestigious financial planning practice in Middlesbrough to recruit a Trainee Paraplanner. The successful candidate will support senior financial planners by delivering high‑quality technical research, preparing suitability reports and ensuring compliance with FCA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Produce suitability reports following annual reviews and new‑business meetings.
• Research investment products and develop recommendations for clients.
• Perform cash‑flow modelling and technical analysis to support advice creation.
• Attend client meetings when required to gather information and clarify recommendations.
• Maintain strict adherence to FCA compliance and internal risk‑mitigation procedures.

Required profile

• Experience as an IFA administrator or junior paraplanner.
• Progressing through Level 4 diploma exams, with at least two RO exams passed.
• Strong attention to detail and a client‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fast‑paced advisory team.

Required skills

• Cash flow modelling.
