Trainee Parts Advisor

About the role

Join a busy, friendly Parts Department within a well‑established machinery company in Billingshurst. The role is ideal for candidates with some parts experience or motivated trainees looking to build a long‑term career in parts support.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operations of the Parts Department.
• Identify, source and order parts for machinery and commercial vehicles.
• Assist customers over the phone and manage enquiries.
• Maintain stock levels, handle goods‑in and goods‑out processes.
• Prepare parts for workshop jobs and process orders using internal systems.
• Collaborate closely with technicians and the service team.

Required profile

• Excellent customer communication and telephone manner.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong organisational and multi‑tasking abilities.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs.
• Reliable time‑keeping and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
