Trainee Production Technician – Electronics Repair

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Trainee Production Technician to join our manufacturing team in Dover. You will work on testing, fault‑finding and calibrating a range of electronic products, ensuring they meet the highest safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Test, fault‑find and repair electronic field and bench equipment.
• Diagnose and repair printed circuit boards, including surface‑mount component replacement.
• Calibrate devices according to test specifications.
• Follow COSHH guidelines and risk assessments while working.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and support New Product Development teams.

Required profile

• Level 3 education (A‑level, BTEC or equivalent) in an electronic discipline.
• Hands‑on experience in a technical or electronics environment.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Ability to read schematics, manuals, circuit diagrams and engineering drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Electronic testing and fault‑finding.

• Interpretation of schematics and circuit diagrams.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
