Trainee Recruitment Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join our temporary staffing team in Long Crendon. The role provides a gateway into the recruitment sector, allowing you to support clients with short‑term staffing needs while helping candidates secure temporary positions. No prior recruitment experience is required – just a keen eye for detail and a personable approach.

Key responsibilities

• Source, screen and interview candidates for temporary roles.
• Maintain and update a database of qualified temporary workers.
• Match candidates to client vacancies based on skills, availability and experience.
• Advertise openings on job boards and social media.
• Carry out compliance checks, including right‑to‑work verification and references.
• Coordinate bookings, placements and onboarding processes.
• Respond quickly to client requests for temporary staff, often at short notice.
• Manage weekly shift bookings, timesheets and payroll queries.
• Work towards individual and team targets and KPIs.
