Trainee Recruitment Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Trainee Recruiter to join our busy and growing recruitment team in Wanstead. The successful candidate will receive full training and will learn how to manage the recruitment process from sourcing candidates through to placement, working closely with experienced recruiters.

Key responsibilities

• Source candidates using databases, job boards and Boolean searches; maintain a strong pipeline.
• Conduct initial telephone screenings, register candidates in Matrix and Prism CRM, and prepare them for interviews.
• Review new vacancies, advertise roles, match candidates to client requirements and support senior recruiters on high‑volume campaigns.
• Use Matrix and Prism CRM to update records, track activity, manage pipelines and produce recruitment reports.
• Maintain regular contact with candidates, arrange interviews, gather feedback and manage expectations throughout the process.

Required skills

• Basic IT proficiency and confidence learning new systems.
• Experience or familiarity with Matrix CRM.
• Experience or familiarity with Prism CRM.
• Use of recruitment databases and job boards for candidate sourcing.
