Trainee Recruitment Consultant – Sales Focused Role

About the role

Spencer Ogden is seeking a motivated Trainee Recruitment Consultant to join its award‑winning sustainability staffing team in the City of London. This is a sales‑driven position where you will develop new business, place top‑tier freelance talent and build lasting client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, pitch and close recruitment deals with corporate clients.
• Source and attract freelance professionals using sales techniques.
• Manage client accounts through phone, email and face‑to‑face meetings.
• Achieve daily, weekly and quarterly KPIs in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Background in B2B/B2C sales, telesales, door‑to‑door, fundraising or account management.
• Highly motivated by commission and uncapped earning potential.
• Resilient, persistent and comfortable handling rejection.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow into leadership.

Required skills

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Proficiency in using CRM or sales tracking tools.
