Trainee Sales Executive

About the role
Our client, a distributor based in South Woodham Ferrers, is seeking a proactive Trainee Sales Executive. This entry‑level position is office‑based initially, allowing you to learn the product range, sales systems, and processes before moving on to external customer visits.
Key responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive phone outreach.
- Learn and apply the company’s product knowledge and sales methodology.
- Support senior sales staff in managing existing accounts.
- Attend industry trade shows in the UK and internationally as required.
- After successful probation, visit customers on‑site and manage accounts independently.
Required profile
- Confident communicator on the phone.
- Self‑motivated with a strong desire to develop a sales career.
- Positive attitude, drive and willingness to learn.
