Trainee Sensor Build Technician

About the role

Join Motion Applied as a Trainee Sensor Build Technician and follow a structured 24‑month training programme. You will develop the skills needed to manufacture sensor sub‑assemblies to IPC class 3 standards and become a certified build technician.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture sub‑assemblies and units to IPC class 3 or higher, meeting Motion Applied’s quality specifications.
• Maintain high production standards, efficiency and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Good GCSE grades (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
• Inquisitive nature with an interest in how things work, preferably in Motorsport, automotive or communications.
• Strong communication skills and basic PC proficiency.
• Attention to detail, calm under pressure and good time‑management.
• Motivated to learn, collaborate and adapt quickly.
