Trainee Service Engineer – CNC & Machine Tools

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Service Engineer to join a market‑leading OEM of CNC and machine‑tool equipment. Based in Banbury, you will support customers across a regional patch, performing both planned and reactive maintenance on specialised tooling machinery.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned maintenance and emergency repairs on CNC and tooling machines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Commission new equipment and perform routine servicing.
• Travel across the South East region, covering sites such as Bristol, Bath, Oxford and Northampton.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on job completion.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or trainee with an interest in CNC or tooling machinery.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Enthusiasm for learning and developing technical expertise.

Required skills

• CNC machinery operation and maintenance.
• Mechanical fault diagnosis.
• Electrical fault diagnosis.
• Planned and reactive maintenance procedures.
