Trainee Service Engineer – Engineering Apprentice

About the role

We are seeking a Trainee Service Engineer to join a leading OEM of machine tools. The role offers full training and development while you perform planned and reactive maintenance on CNC and tooling machinery across a regional patch.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on CNC and specialised tooling equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults.
• Service, commission and troubleshoot machinery on site.
• Travel to customer locations within Milton Keynes, Bath, Wiltshire, Oxford, Banbury and Northampton.
• Document work and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Motivation to develop as a Service Engineer.

Required skills

• Mechanical fault diagnosis.
• Electrical fault diagnosis.
• CNC machine maintenance.
• Tooling machinery maintenance.
• Servicing and commissioning of industrial equipment.
