Trainee Service Technician

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Service Technician to join Medstrom Ltd in Portsmouth. You will support the delivery, set‑up and maintenance of medical equipment for patients across Portsmouth, West Sussex and Hampshire, working a Monday‑Friday 12 pm‑8 pm shift.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clean, ready‑to‑use medical products to customer sites and collect them after use.
• Decontaminate, perform functional checks, repair and carry out electrical safety tests on returned equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of testing, delivery and collection activities.
• Manage stock levels of products and spare parts, and perform required product modifications.
• Provide basic product demonstrations and training to clinical staff.
• Participate in an on‑call rota once trained, with additional on‑call payments.

Required profile

• Clean driving licence.
• Mechanical or electrical background, or willingness to develop one.
• Customer‑focused attitude with a proactive, can‑do approach.

Required skills

• Mechanical troubleshooting.
• Electrical safety testing.
• Product decontamination and hygiene procedures.
