Trainee Surveyor – Entry Level (No Experience Needed)

About the role

Join the British Army as a full‑time Trainee Surveyor and be at the heart of construction projects worldwide. No prior experience is required – you will receive comprehensive training and gain qualifications while supporting the building of bases, runways and other critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist on construction projects such as new military bases, airstrips and disaster‑relief facilities.
• Use modern surveying technology to map sites and produce design layouts.
• Participate in technical drawing, surveying and IT training programmes.
• Work alongside engineers and project teams on domestic and overseas assignments.

Required profile

• Age between 16 years 6 months and 35 years 6 months.
• Pass a basic fitness test.
• Commitment to full‑time service in the Army.
