Trainee Swim Teacher – Fully Funded Training

About the role

GLL is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join the Highgrove Pool & Fitness Centre as Trainee Swim Teachers. You will receive fully funded training to achieve the STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming and begin a rewarding career teaching people of all ages how to swim.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver swimming lessons to beginners, non‑swimmers and improving swimmers.
• Provide supportive feedback and motivation to learners.
• Assist lead teachers with class preparation and basic administration.
• Maintain a safe and welcoming pool environment.

Required profile

• Confident swimmer with good communication skills.
• Patient, approachable and able to motivate learners.
• Willingness to attend a 5‑day intensive STA Level 2 course (14‑22 September) and complete 20 hours of prior learning.
• Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Basic swimming proficiency.
