Trainee Swimming Teacher

About the role

Join the UK’s largest swimming school as a Trainee Swimming Teacher. You will be fully funded to achieve the STA Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming and start delivering lessons to learners of all ages and abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver swimming lessons to groups and individuals under the guidance of a Lead Teacher.
• Support learners in developing confidence and technique in the water.
• Maintain a safe and encouraging pool environment.
• Complete required administrative tasks related to lesson planning and progress tracking.

Required profile

• Competent swimmer with a passion for water safety.
• Strong verbal and non‑verbal communication skills.
• Patient, approachable and able to motivate learners.
• Willingness to attend a 5‑day intensive training course and complete 20 hours of pre‑course learning.
• Previous experience with children is desirable but not essential.
