Trainee Tyre Technician

About the role

Join Halfords as a Trainee Tyre Technician and work towards becoming a qualified Vehicle Tyre Fitter. You will be based in Liverpool, operating a mobile van equipped with tools and PPE, and will receive structured training over 6‑12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Fit and repair tyres on cars, vans, trucks, agricultural, industrial and earth‑moving vehicles.
• Provide a high level of customer service on every call‑out and in‑shop interaction.
• Follow health and safety procedures while working on a mobile van.
• Record work performed and manage inventory of tyres and related parts.
• Participate in overtime and on‑call duties as required.

Required profile

• Passion for the automotive sector and willingness to obtain relevant qualifications.
• Strong customer‑focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.
• Full, current UK driving licence.
