Trainee Warehouse Operative – Entry Level Role

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic trainee to join our warehouse team in Grays. This full‑time position offers hands‑on training to develop the skills needed to become a competent Warehouse Operative.

Key responsibilities

• Load and unload containers using handballing techniques and pump trucks.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately following picking lists.
• Move, stack, label, wrap and prepare pallets for dispatch.
• Replenish stock and consolidate inventory.
• Assist with vehicle loading and unloading.
• Maintain a tidy work environment by sweeping, tidying work areas and emptying waste bins.
• Follow warehouse procedures and health‑and‑safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with the team to meet daily operational targets.

Required profile

• No prior warehouse experience required – full training will be provided.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual lifting throughout the shift.
• Ability to read and understand picking and packing lists.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team.
• Strong attention to detail and a positive work ethic.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet business demands.
