Training Manager – Through Life Support (HMNB Clyde)

About the role

The Submarine Delivery Agency is seeking a Through Life Support Training Requirements Manager to lead the design, development and delivery of individual training for Royal Navy personnel. Based at HMNB Clyde, this 37‑hour per week position supports the UK’s continuous at‑sea nuclear deterrent and works closely with MoD, US and industry partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a multi‑disciplinary team of civilian training designers and a Royal Navy subject‑matter expert.
• Conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA) and produce reports to shape individual training programmes.
• Coordinate training design and delivery across MoD, Royal Navy, US Government, US Navy and industry stakeholders.
• Oversee the implementation of a systems‑based approach to training within the Chief Strategic Systems Executive Directorate.
• Ensure compliance with security requirements and maintain regular workplace attendance.

Required profile

• UK national with the ability to obtain the necessary security clearance.
• Proven experience managing training programmes in a defence or highly regulated environment.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder‑management skills across military and civilian organisations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with international partners, particularly the United States.

Required skills

• Experience in training design and delivery, including TNA methodology.
• Knowledge of defence procurement and in‑service support processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
