Training Partner

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Training Partner to join our People Operations team at New College Swindon. In this role you will collaborate with managers and leaders to identify learning needs, design development programmes and ensure statutory training compliance across the college.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers to assess training needs and set workforce development priorities.
• Design, coordinate and deliver learning initiatives that align with organisational goals.
• Maintain compliance with statutory, mandatory and role‑specific training requirements.
• Manage training records and monitor engagement via the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Support the college’s CPD strategy and work closely with curriculum and leadership teams.
• Coordinate induction programmes and departmental onboarding processes.
• Produce reports and insights on training compliance, engagement and impact for senior leaders.
• Oversee training budgets to ensure value for money.
• Promote a culture of continuous professional development and improvement.

Required profile

• A degree‑level qualification or equivalent professional experience in learning and development or a related field.
• Proven experience in a learning and development, training or workforce development role.
• Understanding of the Further Education sector.
• Experience working with managers or senior leaders to identify development priorities.
• Strong organisational, planning and project coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with the confidence to influence stakeholders.
• Experience producing reports, monitoring budgets and maintaining accurate records.
• A proactive, solution‑focused mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults.
