Training & Professional Development Practitioner – Hybrid (Scotstoun)

About the role

As a Training & Professional Development Practitioner you will design, develop and deliver innovative learning solutions that support critical skill development across Naval Ships. Working closely with business stakeholders you will identify learning needs, create engaging content and help embed knowledge‑sharing practices throughout the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop learning solutions focused on the skills, knowledge and experience required for Naval Ships.
• Facilitate and deliver training interventions in classroom and virtual environments.
• Research, develop and present case studies based on real business events to support professional development.
• Collaborate with functional teams to identify training needs and create effective learning programmes.
• Support knowledge‑management strategies, producing resources that capture and share critical knowledge.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, developing and delivering learning solutions in a complex technical, engineering or STEM environment.
• Technical background in engineering, design, manufacturing, science, technology or a related discipline.
• Recognised L&D, teaching or training qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE, CIPD) or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Experience working collaboratively with stakeholders to identify capability gaps and develop learning solutions.
• Strong ability to communicate technical information in an engaging, accessible way across classroom, virtual and blended formats.
