Training Programme Director – O&G South

About the role

The Training Programme Director will partner with the Head of School to lead the delivery of a comprehensive training portfolio for the O&G South region, supporting the NHS England mandate. This senior position focuses on enhancing learner supervision, assessment, and overall educational experience while driving workforce transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head of School to shape and implement training strategies aligned with NHS England objectives.
• Improve learner supervision, assessment processes, and faculty engagement to ensure high‑quality educational outcomes.
• Lead whole‑workforce transformation initiatives and develop multi‑professional links across health and social care.
• Support the Postgraduate Dean by coordinating education provision that reflects evolving service models.
• Promote an integrated workforce that includes professionals from diverse backgrounds.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior educational leadership within a health‑care setting.
• Strong managerial accountability and ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated track record of driving improvement in training programmes and workforce development.
• Willingness to spend a minimum of 40% of working time in office environments.
