Transport Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Transport Administrator to join our busy Transport Department in Royton. The role is office‑based and offers the chance to develop administrative expertise within a fast‑moving logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately record and report payroll information within dedicated timelines.
• Order and issue all operational uniforms.
• Ensure period‑end documentation is completed on schedule.
• Manage transport‑related invoices, confirming each has a purchase order.
• Record agency usage and costings for management accounts.
• Provide data to facilitate KPI reporting and compilation of management accounts.
• Collate minutes for investigations and disciplinary meetings.
• Order and manage stationery supplies.
• Prepare documentation for starters, leavers, contract changes and probationary periods.
• Coordinate driver recruitment.
• Manage courier usage and compile weekly purchase orders and invoices.

Required profile

• Highly motivated with a can‑do attitude.
• Well‑organised and methodical.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Enthusiastic, committed and driven to achieve results.

Required skills

• Knowledge of transport legislation and tachograph regulations (advantageous).
