Transport Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an organised, customer‑focused Transport Administrator to join our busy logistics team in North Weald. You will act as the main point of contact between customers, the warehouse and the transport operation, ensuring smooth movement of stock and timely resolution of enquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer orders, verify quantities and communicate delivery timelines to depot staff.
• Respond to customer and supplier enquiries and complaints, investigating and escalating where necessary.
• Enter accurate data onto internal systems and generate reports while maintaining data integrity.
• Book orders, support start‑of‑day and end‑of‑day processes and assist with driver checks, dispatch and debrief administration.
• Collate data for customer invoices, pallet reports and job reports.
• Maintain and develop proactive relationships with existing customers and suppliers.
• Support a customer‑focused team environment and identify opportunities for service improvement.

Required profile

• Organised and customer‑focused with strong attention to detail.
• Previous experience in transport administration, transport clerk, logistics administrator or similar roles.
• Ability to handle enquiries, resolve issues and work under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to work Monday‑Friday 10:00‑19:00 with occasional Saturdays on a rota basis.
• Experience with pallet networks is highly desirable.

• Salary of £29,800 per annum.
• £3,000 performance/attendance bonus after the probation period.
