About the role
We are seeking a Transport Consultant or Senior Transport Consultant to join our client’s team in Bristol. You will support planning applications by preparing transport statements, assessments, technical notes and travel plans for a variety of land‑use projects.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Technical Notes and Travel Plans.
- Review site layout plans and provide transport/highways advice.
- Analyse traffic and speed survey data, calculate visibility splays and produce plans using AutoCAD.
- Attend design team meetings and liaise with clients, consultants and local authority officers.
- Coordinate and commission traffic, speed and parking surveys.
Required profile
- Relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (Geography, Transport Planning, Civil Engineering or similar).
- Minimum 2 years of post‑graduate experience in transport planning.
- Excellent numeracy and strong written and oral communication skills in English.
- Full UK driving licence (desirable).
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in AutoTRACK.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Word.
- Advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
