Transport Coordinator

About the role

The Transport Coordinator will be responsible for planning and managing daily transport operations across multiple sites. This full‑time, office‑based position offers the chance to develop logistics expertise in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate daily multi‑site collections and deliveries, ensuring timely completion.
• Monitor load status and communicate updates to meet customer deadlines.
• Respond to stock readiness, collaborate with customer service, and handle special requests.
• Manage booking notifications, late‑delivery alerts, and retrieve customer PODs.
• Process transport‑related complaints, including reporting and follow‑up.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, hauliers, and suppliers.
• Analyse delivery data to produce KPI reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Review daily transport costs per site and ensure cost‑effective planning.
• Maximise load utilisation and develop processes to improve future deliveries.

Required profile

• Proven experience in transport or logistics planning, or as a transport planning administrator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical ability to review delivery data.
• High organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
• Customer‑focused attitude with flexibility.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with transport planning tools.
• Familiarity with the Paragon Planning & routing tool (advantageous).
