Transport Manager – Runcorn & Warrington

About the role

Bis Henderson is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead a fast‑paced operation covering Runcorn and Warrington. The role demands a hands‑on leader who can make confident decisions, drive performance and nurture a strong operational culture.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day transport activities to ensure smooth and efficient delivery performance.
• Lead, develop and motivate transport teams, fostering a positive and accountable environment.
• Maintain compliance with transport legislation, health & safety standards and internal procedures.
• Identify and implement operational improvements and effective processes.
• Monitor KPIs, service levels and operational costs, taking proactive actions to enhance performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to uphold high service standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a Transport Manager or similar leadership role.
• Possession of a valid CPC qualification.
• Strong decision‑making ability and calmness under pressure.
• Resilient, adaptable and forward‑thinking leadership style.
• Excellent communication and people‑management capabilities.
