Transport Operative – Full‑time, Newcastle

About the role

Movianto is seeking a Transport Operative to join its Newcastle hub. Working Monday to Friday from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm, you will support the day‑to‑day transport operation, ensuring deliveries are processed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Scan, manifest and track daily deliveries in line with SOPs and compliance standards.
• Brief and debrief drivers using TMS, Verilocation, Tachomaster, Odyssey and Fleet Check, securing signed paperwork.
• Resolve delivery and collection issues promptly, providing on‑route support.
• Maintain compliance with DVSA, health & safety, MOTs, servicing and incident reporting.
• Support TMS maintenance, booking, temperature deviation handling, cross‑dock activity and on‑road cover.

Required profile

• Strong communication, multitasking and prioritisation abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Good understanding of driver hours regulations and health & safety standards.
• Professional, reliable, punctual with a solid work ethic.
• Confidence operating a forklift (FLT) – licence desirable, training provided.
