Transport Operator

About the role

Superdrug is looking for a Transport Operator to join its logistics team in Dunstable. You will act as the first line of contact for driving teams, ensuring smooth communication, safe vehicle operation and timely deliveries across stores.

Key responsibilities

• Brief and debrief driving teams, capturing vital information and feedback.
• Prepare store bags and update store instructions.
• Coordinate with all required departments and support functions to guarantee a smooth and timely operation.
• Ensure vehicles and trailers are road‑legal by following site defect processes.
• Provide first‑line support for delivery queries, breakdowns or emergency incidents.
• Liaise with maintenance and breakdown services to assist recoveries.
• Communicate schedule changes, delays and failures to stores.
• Cover other transport functions, holiday and absence periods as needed.

Required profile

• 12 months previous administrator or operator experience within a transport environment (essential).
• Motivated by delivering results and able to work to deadlines.
• Strong relationship‑building skills and ability to work independently.
• Honest, reliable, with a meticulous attention to detail.
• High level of health and safety awareness, adhering to ASW values.
