Transport Planner – Haulage Operations

About the role

Woodside Haulage, the largest division of Woodside Logistics Group, is seeking a Transport Planner to coordinate its haulage fleet across the UK and Ireland. You will ensure safe, efficient movement of full‑trailer loads while maintaining compliance with road traffic legislation and working time regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with drivers and operations teams to deliver high‑level customer service.
• Plan drivers and vehicles to maximise delivery and collection performance.
• Book, monitor and update consignments in the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensure all paperwork meets customer‑specific requirements.
• Coordinate driver training and support completion of required courses.
• Work with fleet maintenance to schedule servicing and MOTs.
• Arrange ferry bookings and secure sailings with operators.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in transport or traffic planning.
• High level of accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Proven experience using a Transport Management System.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
