Transport Planner – International Road Logistics

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join an award‑winning international logistics company in Hemel Hempstead. The role involves planning and coordinating cross‑border road transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries across multiple countries while working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily international and cross‑border road transport operations, optimising routes and resources.
• Collaborate with drivers, hauliers and partners to ensure schedules are met.
• Monitor vehicle movements and transport flows to maintain efficiency.
• Prioritise outstanding shipments and ensure orders are processed and delivered on schedule.
• Record and maintain transport data accurately in the system.
• Handle queries promptly to maintain high service quality.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years of operational experience in international road transport, particularly with HGV trucks.
• Proven track record in route planning and optimisation.
• Good understanding of legal compliance and transport regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage interactions with drivers and hauliers.
