Transport Planner – Milton Keynes (£36K‑£38K)

About the role

Our client, a leading name in the distribution sector, is seeking a Transport Planner to develop and manage daily transport plans for their Milton Keynes depot. The role involves close collaboration with clients, depot teams and internal hubs to ensure efficient movement of goods.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain daily depot transport plans.
• Share future transport plans with the planning team to support overall scheduling.
• Develop peak‑period collection requirements and confirm trailer needs with clients.
• Generate business and performance reports as required.
• Lead operational planning between hubs through continuous communication.
• Obtain agreement with hubs on processing and schedule adjustments.

Required profile

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• FLT licence.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and commercial awareness.
• Flexible, adaptable and committed to continuous improvement.
• Understanding of supply‑chain and related processes.
