Transport Route Planner – Operations Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Transport Route Planner to join a leading distributor of construction and building products. Working closely with the Operations Manager, you will help coordinate daily logistics, ensure health and safety standards, and support the wider operations team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Operations Manager with day‑to‑day logistics tasks.
• Plan and optimise delivery routes for the fleet.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate schedule changes and updates to drivers and internal teams.
• Support the team in handling operational queries and issues.

Required profile

• Ambitious and motivated with a keen eye for detail.
• Organised and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with colleagues and drivers.
• Previous experience in operations, route planning or logistics.
