Transport Shift Manager – Logistics Operations

About the role

GXO Logistics is looking for two experienced Transport Shift Managers to join the busy Currys site in Bristol. You will be responsible for overseeing daily transport operations, ensuring safety compliance and delivering high‑quality service to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operational issues, including accidents, breakdowns and service‑quality escalations.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, Working Time Directive, O‑licence, tachograph and employment legislation.
• Control driver rosters and shift patterns, especially around holidays and changing customer demands.
• Motivate, coach and develop the transport team to meet strict customer targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar transport supervisory role.
• Ability to supervise a team and understand transport‑environment operations.
• National CPC (desirable) and knowledge of cost drivers, P&L or cost‑centre management.
• Experience handling conflicting priorities in a fast‑moving setting.

Required skills

• National CPC certification (desirable)
• Knowledge of WTD, O‑licence and tachograph regulations
