Transport Supervisor – £34,000 per annum – Bristol

About the role

We are seeking an organised and proactive Transport Supervisor to join our growing Bristol operation. You will work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure a busy multi‑drop fleet runs safely, efficiently and in full compliance with UK transport legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team of drivers in a fast‑paced multi‑drop environment.
• Monitor driver performance, telematics data and tachograph compliance.
• Conduct driver debriefs, address improvement areas and manage performance issues.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections and defect reporting.
• Liaise with external service providers for fleet repairs and maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with DVSA and operator licence requirements.
• Handle transport administration, including records, documentation and purchase orders.
• Promote a positive health & safety culture and ensure service standards are met.

Required profile

• Previous experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations, preferably in a distribution or multi‑drop setting.
• Strong understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance.
• Experience supervising drivers or transport teams.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Hands‑on, proactive management style with attention to detail.
