Transport Team Leader

About the role

Join a fast‑moving logistics operation in Rainham as a Transport Team Leader. You will bridge hands‑on execution with people leadership, ensuring routes are run safely, efficiently and on schedule while developing your team for future growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily driver attendance, route allocations and workforce deployment.
• Oversee operational KPIs, production targets and Units Per Hour (UPH) goals.
• Motivate and engage frontline associates and agency staff to maintain high productivity.
• Conduct pre‑shift briefings covering plans, work allocation and health‑safety topics.
• Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks, making policy‑driven decisions under pressure.
• Monitor performance in real time, provide feedback and deliver targeted coaching.
• Lead health‑and‑safety training, safety orientations and SOP compliance.
• Take ownership of daily operations, working autonomously to meet service, safety and productivity targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fast‑paced logistics, transport or warehouse environments.
• People‑first supervisory approach with ability to motivate, support and develop teams.
• Strong understanding of route planning and operational execution.
