Transport Team Leader – Late Shift (4pm‑12am)

About the role

GXO Logistics is seeking an experienced Transport Team Leader to manage the late/night shift at its Greene King site in Greenford. This permanent, first‑line management position runs Sunday to Thursday from 16:00 to 00:00 and offers the chance to develop leadership skills in a fast‑paced logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure health & safety and operator licence compliance, fostering a strong reporting culture.
• Conduct regular team meetings and one‑to‑ones, maintain personal development plans and monitor driver and admin performance.
• Liaise with the Planning Team to optimise fleet utilisation and oversee driver kick‑out and de‑brief processes.
• Manage vehicle and equipment maintenance, coordinate MOT, servicing, defect handling and timely repairs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading teams in fast‑moving FMCG, automation or multichannel transport operations.
• Working knowledge of transport and warehousing processes (desirable).
• Good understanding of current health & safety and compliance legislation.
• Experience in temperature‑controlled environments is advantageous.
